Firstly, if Scotland leaves the UK, it has to deal with that shit; as in, it has to set up it's own government which can lead to dissent from the fact that many anti-independence see it as illegitimate (much like the Ukrainian gov't has had many troubles. Obviously it won't be on such a large scale). There's also the complications with splitting a gov't in two; who takes all that debt when almost all of it was the London banks fault? What do you set interest rates at when there's no governing body? What's up with taxes? NHS? That's a lot of shit to think about.
Trade is also a big thing. With such an intertwined global economy, Scotland would have to start exporting as soon as possible. It's also competing with the UK's government, on things like taxes, minimum wage, etc, which could potentially be disastrous for their economy if the UK can give higher profits to the same business if it chooses to stay on this side of the border.
